In vivo Ocular Disease Models

TriApex Laboratories has established a variety of ophthalmic models and is still expanding the model pool. The goal is to provide proper models to evaluate the efficacy of innovative drug molecules for the treatment of different ocular diseases.

The diseases on the eyes are, varying locations (from the surface to fundus), onset (acute to chronic), and mechanism (vascular leakage to cell death), etc. Our large pool of models particular NHP models is helpful for finding proper models with different with different indications.

We understand that the model requirement in drug R&D process is different. We built ophthalmic models with different animal species, allowing early molecules to use some low-cost models for initial screening, and promising drug molecules to use monkey models that resemble human eye most to increase their clinical translational rate.
